Gwen Hankins is the author of multiple articles and has three published adult romance books in 2008 under a pseudonym, Gwyn Lacy. Those stories were her first attempts at publication. After taking a break and taking writing classes, she realized that she was reading, almost exclusively, young-adult novels. She is surrounded by kids and teens reading the young adult genre and is constantly deluged with recommendations of new authors and new books. She lives in Missouri in a little red house with her husband and four dogs: Frenchy, Bella, Jolie and Charlie Brown. Gwen loves all things summer and activities with her six grandsons and two granddaughters(all under 13). She is most proud of her four grown daughters, step-daughter and stepson (all under thirty!).

When asked about grand-parenting, she responds with a smile and a glow. “I was a young, teenage mom and married at sixteen. Now, I’m a young Grandma. It was a rough start-And now, whew! It all turned out well.”
